I would like to express my deepest condolences to Gaynda, the children Brian and Mark ,his sibling Annette(CHS ‘60), Winston( CHS ’62)-my form mate, the other siblings and family members.
I was extremely surprised when I heard of the sad news this morning from my sister Venus who heard it from Lionel Jadoo. After speaking with another close family friend Daisy Prema, I was told that Desmond’s death announcement was made in our Richmond Hill, Queens Church, and Desmond had died in South Carolina, where he had recently relocated.
I was able to speak with Shiela Beharry(Winston’s wife)and found out that they too had relocated from New York to Georgia just a few weeks ago. We go way back with the Beharrys. We have a special relationship in more ways than one, as we are Godparents to their son, JR.
It is almost like a rude awakening of the circumstances of Desmond’s death. This is one of those times when we pause and realize how short life is .
On behalf of Tyrone and my family, I would like the Beharrys to know that our prayers and thoughts are with them at this time of their bereavement
” Gone to rest, away from sorrow, care, sickness and pain”,
May the Beharry family find strenght in God’s love and mercies, and in each other.
