In March 2010, with the help of the Office of the President, the JC Grads (Global) arranged for 20 JC students and 2 teachers to tour the Albion Estate sugar factory. The students were first treated to refreshments in the Senior Staff Club and lunch in the Mess. In the dining room I noticed some paintings on the wall depicting life on the estate long ago. I took a photograph of each painting. This was most fortuitous because the entire Senior Staff Club was destroyed by fire three years later and those paintings are lost to all posterity. Here is a photograph of one of the paintings.
