The JC Centenary Book will recapture for us the extraordinary energy in which we all functioned in our early years. It was an energy that continued to motivate us way into our adult years and to transport it into several countries on planet Earth. As we commemorate the forces that inspired our early years, let us remember that this sacred place is also a shrine and “not marble nor the gilded monuments of princes” shall outlive the glory of its remarkable impact on the sons and daughters of the Corentyne. J.C Chandisingh will loom large in its pages: “Fato profugus in littoram Corentyniam venit.” The enterprise was divinely inspired and blessed.
