Grads from the science stream of the Class of 1987 held their 31st graduation anniversary on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Palm Restaurant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Just over sixteen grads flew in from New York, Florida, Missouri, Montreal, Toronto, and Holland for the big party. Ms. Shantie Kuar Sookree provided the names of some of the grads: Geeta Singh (all the way from Amsterdam, Holland), Vanessa Mahadeo, Vedya Ramsammy, Vidya Eddy ,Shibani Girwar, Shantie Sookree, Lorraine Ramkissoon, Rona; Kamta Ramsammy, Heeralall Hastoo, Chetram Deola, Joe Jogi Burchell, Khanal Ravin Mohabir, Nicolas Singh, Romain Etwaroo , and Ravindra Mohan. The main planners were Ms. Geeta Singh, Hastoo Heeralall, Ravindra Mohan, and Nicolas Singh. According to Shantee, it was a touching moment when they were all gathered together after thirty-one years. During that interval they had all become moms and dads and even grand-parents. Talking about the old days made them all feel rejuvenated again. They will certainly not allow thirty-one years go by without another get-together. Our thanks to Ms. Shantie Sookree for sending us these photographs. Shantie’s uncle (her dad’s youngest brother) is none other than Mr. Gobind Sookree Sarju (dec’d) of Ankerville, grad and former teacher at Corentyne High School and later a UG lecturer.
