Thanks for this photograph. It’s not one just to gaze at this adorable trio in wonder and then ignore. This photograph sends a powerful message not only to our nation but to the world. Every child enters this world with an abundance of innocence that symbolizes care and love. Our world would be an immensely better place if such qualities are allowed to prosper as they grow older and without being exposed to external influences of hate and racism. They do not want to harm or be harmed. All they want is to enjoy the beauty and benefits of living in a well ordered society. How reassuring and delightful it would be if the same three, one of Indian descent and two of African descent, are shown celebrating in the same playful way at age 16. I am delighted to observe this visible sign of racial advance since I left Guyana in 1955. This is an Indian festival and I have known it to be always celebrated only by the Indian community.
